SN54 EFO - a black Gransport on Ebay.
Have Gransports really dropped so far in price or is this a real duffer?

Apparently this car has collected every fault and problem that a 2002-2008 coupe can have.

Would make a great case study or more than likely split for parts.

A quick look at the MOT history rings alarm bells let alone the forum comment. There are good ones around but do be careful; caveat emptor and all that.

The blue one has been for sale for a few months via the Maserati Club UK site.

Lovely colour scheme.

There's a LHD MC Victory at £45k or a blue one at £27k, plus the original topic of conversation at £14k.

Or a £15k GS could need a major service, a new clutch, new brakes, new tyres, a new front subframe, etc, and cost 10k just to make it roadworthy. It's very much "buyer beware" at that money!

It's been a long while since I've seen a GS that I'd want to buy at an asking price of below £20k. But between £20k and £25k there are, and have been, several good examples. Just like the car the OP has just purchased, presumably at a figure of around £24k.

I thought those Gransports fell into the teens earlier this year, and there was some article on pistonheads that said now is the time to buy and the prices went up again The LHD market does not seem too strong on them as I've seen a few in the teens like 19000 chf but could be rough examples.

Well that's been re sprayed for a start and the front light looks like its hanging out .Plus it has the worst interior possible . There is rust under the rear light so it needs a rear end respray . The interior is in a poor state and the leather is cracked and filthy . It's also got a de laminated rear screen . Its a heap. It's probably worth £10k

A good GS cost £25k at least . Buy a cheap one and you get what you pay for .

This has made me think of way back when, flicking through copies of Parker’s or Glass for estimates of car prices depending on whether it was in A1 condition, excellent, good, or trade in...

There was also a formula where you could adjust for lower mileage, etc...

I’m clearly biased, but I think for an A1 GS right now, with low mileage and impeccable service history it’s still between £27-32k from a dealer, and (should be) roughly £25k privately...

I'm also biased and say the figure for an A1 GS starts with a 3, not 2. But people will argue and argue but that would be my budget for an A1 GS and I'd give it today if I was in the market for a well sorted A1 low mileage GS. Others can kick tyres and haggle an cars starting with a 2......

3 years ago, no. Cannot comment further back. I've read numerous posts suggesting the price of GS has fallen. They have - but not for A1 low mileage cars with provenance, full leather, LE spec, history and A1 condition outside, inside and underneath. Word-of-mouth A1 cars meeting these criteria that can pass a full PPI without a list of advisory and essentials still start with a 3. Those with a few advisories (some of which might be considered 'trivial') and no essentials at very least start with high 2's.

But there may be a needle in a haystack of c200 GS cars out there in the UK at low 2's which are likely to be higher miles but not meeting the above criteria for desperate sellers needing to release the cash and/or limited knowledge of such a low volume model as the GS.
