Anyone found a good interesting to drive but still comfortable practical daily?

So I just bought a 2004 Mercedes E500 Avantgarde Estate yesterday. Done 176k miles with a mint interior that looks like it has done 76k or less. A few minor exterior cosmetic battle scars that can be addressed easily enough if required.

All the mechanicals are very good and the car has been very well maintained with every bill from new. The last owner had it across 16 years between them and their partner.

It is a nice high spec car with the M113 5.0 V8 engine and 7G gearbox and the full automatic adjustable suspension. Feel much happier back in a W211 again and think these cars are a great VFM sweet spot if you aren't bother about age or miles. Has Keyless Go, the 7 seat option too, the HK audio and the heated/cooled/massaging dynamic seats. Also the dual AMG exhaust and the 18" AMG alloys.

Would have been circa £70k new and now just under £5k so great VFM IMHO. These drive so well and are so comfy but still practical and interesting enough to drive. I was trying to find a W211 E55K Estate again but this came up first. I'll run it for a few months and see if it will be a medium stern stepping stone or longer termed. Also will be interesting to see in the real world in 2023 if you actually need the extra the E55K offers over the E500.
