I saw the headline and this spooked me out. Was thinking today about an adventure and posting to see if anyone fancies racing a GranTurismo in something low key like a shared drive in trackday trophy. Been out of it for a while and thought this would be an interesting challenge.

It states 468bhp for the mc8 gransport, I wonder how they got it up to that.... would love another 70bhp on the Gs

There is a guy on the US forums who has stripped and tracked his GTS. Something I have pondered keeping mine for in a few years if I keep getting lowball offers on mine ;)

The yellow Ghibli looks interesting, it says it’s a 2 litre, does that mean it’s a Cup or did they make a 2 litre GT for tax reasons like they did with 208/308s?

It doesn’t look like an Open Cup from the lack of bodywork...
And yeah, that’ll be the Italian market ‘standard’ engine with 2.0/306ish-bhp

That’s GT4, I’m talking low key. 10-20k between 2 should get you through the the season without to much crash damage. Car (I guess a lightly damaged one) + 5-10k to get it track worthy
I’d have thought it’s cost more than that to get it track ready? Even with the interior stripped they’re still hefty. There are a few GranSport Trofeos around at the moment which seem comparatively good value

Shouldn’t be for club racing. Yeah they are a huge lump but maybe it can work.
A lot of people look at motorsport and think it’s a dream beyond reach when in fact it’s reasonlbly affordable in the uk at club level (I mean against ppl thinking you’ve got to be in the 50k + bracket to race)
