We made the most of that. Went for a run up the coast to Aldeburgh with our neighbours in their 993. Sedate drive up (Porsche in front), madcap thrash back (Vantage in front). Glad we did - it'll be a rare weekend with good weather from now on and I expect to be SORNing and storing the car for the official winter season (mid-Dec to end March).

Did you venture into Thorpeness?
Although everywhere will be flooded after yesterday and today, tomorrow is meant to be 22 with a clear blue sky.

Not quite that far. Well, we strolled up the beach just into Thorpeness, and then strolled back again. Not your stamping ground, is it?
We use to camp near the golf course between Thorpeness and Aldeburgh, 3 or 4 times in 1980, went into The Dolphin near the boating lake which burnt down I understand and remember going in a pub in Aldeburgh that had a collection of chamber pots.
Halcyon days

I expect you'll found Aldeburgh more or less unchanged. As would someone who hadn't visited since about 1920. Thorpeness is a weird kind of place. The boating lake is still there, as is the House in the Clouds (I think that's what it's called).

Andy - gorgeous! Happy man?

I should of said I've been back for the odd visit. My brother went in the Parrot And Punch Bowl and had a nice meal the other day where the road splits for Aldeburgh and Thorpeness.
