Specifically flanged, button head torx m6 x 12mm in black.

With a 15 (and a bit) mm flange (all the ones I can find are 13.6). The bit is not that important but the difference between the 13.6 and 15.2 looks a bit odd. I can get them but rather balk at paying £1.50 each...

Suggestions from you mechanical experts out there?

Stop being a skin flint and pay the £1.50 each - sorry that wasn’t as helpful as you had wished :D

Well, TBH £15 isn't going to break me, but there's a sort of principal (which is getting eroded that I bought the wrong thread size first, and now have the 'wrong' flange size so already spent £10 ;) So it's a perfectly valid comment.

Just buy some from the manufacturer like you are supposed to.

I just ordered some screws from Eurospares to replace a couple of missing/incorrect one holding the under bonnet engine covers on the QP. The torx ones are a whopping £4.50 each plus vat and the normal one with washer are £2.00 each. All in i spent £22.00 on 5 screws including vat and delivery. Ridiculous.

I’ll restore the others with a bit of Matt black paint while I’m at it which is £1.99 a can.

Ah, the Maserati Tax bag. I have some of those. And some Ferrari one. I did outsmart them recently when I needed new wipers for the FF, Ferrari wanted £180 !!!!!, I worked out they are made by Denso and got them off OpieOils for £25, just without the branded cardboard box. Haven’t managed to find cheaper torx screws sadly as they seem to be an odd size.

I told you!

Yes, i measured them and as usual, you were correct! Pineapple has no place on pizza and Maserati uses odd screws. Crazy.

The valet guy is coming to do the engine bay so I wanted to have everything ready as we will need to take off the engine covers etc. I’ll paint the original screws and when we put it all back together, should look a million dollars.

Evan a *** clock and all that.

Funnily enough, I have a plating kit on the way to do some Fiat bolts and I am also getting some black passivate to do mine. I’ll keep you posted on the results
