Looks good Rockits, anything wrong with it or does it just need a general tidy up?

Nothing massive.

Boot leak...looks like seal not seated corrected or may need replacement.

Alloys needs refurb but not that bad. Rare ball polished that I haven't seen a facelift 4200 before.

Rear tyres need replacing.

Paint is good with no dents or scratches. Just needs a good cutting polish, wax and detail.

Going to get over to Voicey at some point to plug into SD and see if there are any issues. Also to see he thinks up on a ramp.

Subframes are sound but have light surface corrosion. Will need good rub down, treatment and protective coat.

Drives, accelerates, brakes and steers really well. Very slight judder on take up on clutch engagement on slow takeoff fine on faster takeoff. Lots of history from Autoshield with previous owner so will check if clutch is original or has been done. Has done 59k miles so could be either.

Engament of gears and shift are very good and quick but not necessarily smooth. Never driven one with DBW but possible it has DBW interface.

Has formula dynamics extended carbon paddles. Kindly previous owner has fettled with exhaust so it is quite loud. Inspection of the rear boxes or rather lack of them is reason why!

Avorio leather is in cracking condition and almost unmarked everywhere as is all of interior. Other than very slight wear on some buttons.

I had costed rear tyres, wheel refurb and new clutch in the price I paid.

Looks like it has been cared for and enthusiast owned. All in all a great purchase that just needs a little time and a little cash spent to get it up to top drawer.

Thanks C....will do.

The right hand side rubber wasn't even seated on the metal lip at all so could be as simple as that but will check.

They are standard 7 spokes but rare as ball polished. Never seen another facelift with ball polished 7 spokes before.

Ok question time......what are people's opinion on what this car is worth? A 2005/55 facelift 4200 in Blu Nettuno with Avoria leather and 59k miles?

Any ideas?

Thanks....very useful info
Well you see some might have no interest in cambiocorsa box, while some might. Some might look at numbers made while some have no interest. Then condition plays into it and some may value low owners etc so yes it would be Whatever someone is willing to pay. Why? Are you thinking of selling already? Or just trying to gauge whether you’ve paid too much or too little for something, because it’s all personal at the end of the day.;) Ultimately all that matters is that you are happy with what you have paid:D

Mid teens. Low mid as a private sale, high mid if from a dealer with a new service, clean bill of health, warranty and detail.

BTW, she’s looks lovely. Good choice.

Not selling but just gauging people's opinions. I know I have bought it for a good price.

Future price might help justify how much time/money I should put into it and how far I go.

Thanks Ewan....pretty much what I thought.

I could have paid what I thought it was worth but had allowed an additional war chest for issues and maintenance as they arrive so paid a bit less.

It is a really good starting point as some 4200's have a starting point lower but need many many k spent to get then to a reasonable level. This needs none of that as has no initial or obvious issues at all.

Of course I am comparing to my mint 4200 so my standards are crazy high in comparison. A good thing I guess.

I’m pretty sure I sold the car in the past; I used to recall to whom every car had gone but my memory is fading now. Not senility but just the fact we’re up towards 400 Maseratis now. I think it’s this one, once owned by a good friend of mine and Marios’ but I can’t remember where it went afterwards:

Ps.

It won’t be on original clutch, the wheels are chrome finish not ball-polished. Back boxes will be Marios’ straight through pipes.

My opinion only £14/15.5k on the market but of course if anything significant needs doing you would need to adjust.

I sold a 8 year old one for £13k and that had full yearly services by MD and Emblem and freshly done... same milea as this one.

I'd be surprised if you didn't. Previous owners have been Manchester and Nottingham and Marios has serviced it a great deal.
