BMW 8 series (e31) 840 seem to share front pads with granturismo 4.2 and standard pads half the price of redstuff

that hurts
You can avoid Maserati tax by using 599 rears. Check this part number 70001120. I found some on ebay from a dealer. Old stock they were getting rid of.

No idea what the fronts match though.

Good to see alternative options, but it is a lot of money to put into a newly designed unit which is not tested.

Probably quite expensive once imported to the UK.

Currently being discussed in the other place. I'll believe it works when someone comes back with one that works.

I note no balance drill marks on the housing plus the oem part from Scuds is a grand plus vat…where is the saving?
Good point. I’m guessing that this part is more expensive for folks in the US. I’m not actually familiar with the part prices here or in the states as I drive a ZF auto.

Come to think of it, at £1,000 +VAT, it wouldn’t be much more for someone in the US to import OEM from Scuderia/Eurospares to the US.

The 4200 and 430 clutch is basically the same but the Ferrari one has thicker/stronger tangs and is more like £1600 from Scuds. They are both interchangeable but are different or they were.

Going back to 2010 there was a real issue with 4200 breaking its tangs where they don’t seem to do it these days…so much.

I suspect if you put the two clutches side by side today they will have the same tangs.

We have not done it but we think you can fit the GTS clutch to a 4200 and vice versa

Worth keeping in mind apparently Scuderia offer 15% off if quoting the Maserati Owners Uk FB group...you need to call to get this discount.

Could be quite a saving on the high cost items

Same. Left it over 15 years ago and never looked back.

Leaving Facebook was one of the best filters for getting rid of the dross in my life… ranging from fake facts, fake needs to fake friends.
