Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

Any alternatives for GT ignition coils (4.7)? I’ve seen some Chinese ones (£180 for 8!) but I’m not sure I would trust them!

To be fair most stuff is coming from there now.
I changed some coils on a Mercedes Benz SLK NGK or Beru at the Factors both made in China.

This thread is for parts that have been tried and work, rather than requests. Suggest a separate post for those.

I think this may have been mentioned but sharing, having seen with my own eyes…

I visited this company in Italy in July 2025, I have no affiliation to them, they were retrimming two Miuras and a 250 Spyder when we visited. A true artisan shop literally in the middle of nowhere.

They have a new stock of the gransport Maserati tech cloth in the three main colours.

Photo attached for information(original centre console piece, beside new fabric). To me the material appears good quality, and on the face of it appears more robust than the original fabric, while also reasonably priced.

A member of staff (Stefania) does speak English, but speaking Italian is a definite advantage, I suggest use Google translation apps or equivalent for any initial email communication if you want fabric, they do ship internationally.

My nickel grey fabric had developed that slightly pinkish hue with age, while the photo does not make it easy to see - due to lighting, the replacement material does colour match (as near as is imperceptible to the eye) the edge of the original centre console fabric that was glued under the metal plate, and not the exposed to the sun.

I remember seeing a 4200 with a wood rimmed steering wheel.

I have not exactly lusted after one but I really though it looked great, and have been on the lookout for one, with little expectation of ever finding one.

However..... Was talking to fellow car club member he was showing me his latest gizmo, and lo and behold it was his wood rimmed wheel.

Evedently there is somewhere in Poland where you send your old steering wheel and they will wood rim it. So i will dig a bit deeper and see if this is possible for my 4200 spyder

Morning all,

Anyone come across an alternative wing mirror glass for the QPV? The genuine part is £1.2K! I am not fussed if it does not have the auto dim function.

Thanks.
I bought glass only from eBay £20 ish. Kept the box and will find it , once the deluge ends.
Several similar, now £30+

As am I apparently. Any idea how to find these L-0328 brakes on eBay? A search comes up with nothing.
To be specific, I’m looking for front and back. I was after the ECB redstuff, but cannot find front pads?
