Alternative parts, what everyone needs to know...

My recollection from trawling through this thread a little while back is that the track rod ends are same as fitted to Alfa GTV. I don’t know the track rod ends but have ordered bushes for rear upper control arms from SuperPerformance - they’ve arrived and look fine. I’ll see how they perform when fitted.

Here's another one:

Maserati 182416 Gearbox Oil Filter costs about 50GBP, the same part is used in the Gallardo as Lamborghini 086301517 and is sold for 30GBP on Eurospares and other websites. A small saving but I think the Lambo part tends to have better availability.

Mod edit - There is a misalignment in the hole for the oil outlet identified in another thread. It would be advisable not to treat this as an interchangeable part.

Evening Gents

Does anyone have an alternative for the 3200 scuttle fixings, 060601526 superceded by 60594191, both NLA. These plastic clips wear out after a few pollen filter changes so there should be a demand. If not a Fiat part I have a company who might be prepared to manufacture from my pattern if enough sales opportunity. Are they used on other models?

Any info gratefully received!

Are you referring to the part in this picture? https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/interior-leak.27538/post-667233

Hi Zep

No, the clips are (5 off) across the scuttle cover and drop into metal brackets that are screwed onto the underside of the cover. One undoes the front screws and the outer edge screws (as in your pic) and then pulls off the panel.

Hope that makes it clear.

Still in the dark to be honest. If you have a picture I think that would help
jog peoples memories.

Is it the pollen filter that goes up the back of the dash behind the glovebox with the bottom cover that keeps falling off (on the QPV at least)?

Hi Guys, sorry for the delay, annual service and belts change got in the way!

Here's a pic of the offending item - it holds the panel in before you screw it tight and there are five.

76139

This panel must be removed to change the pollen filter on 3200s.

Think these are the ones you're after: Fiat 60811628

There are two different types of clips that the screws go into though, this is the other: Fiat 7754387

Sorry to Oneball and Zep!!!! It's my failing eyesight or limping brain.

I have indeed today received a delivery from Bross with 40 units, slightly cheaper by buying direct. Am happy to post out lots of 5 to any members - pm me. The clips are identical in size and quality so one up for the Turks, who seem to be the only suppliers.

Thanks again All, I'm now working on the centre dash vents!

No problem, brilliant work finding them and it’s good of you to offer them to others. As is custom on this thread can you post the part number and supplier?

Just in case, the AC vents for these cars is from the Fiat Barchetta, also used in the Pontiac Solstice if you happen to be in the other side of the pond.

Interesting! You can get metal rings for them!
