4200 replacement radiator identical to the one that I pulled out of my car only over half the price of getting it from the dealer

The same company does them for other Maserati models. As they are the only "OE" alternative I am guessing that they are from the same factory as the OEM maserati radiators

Thats a really great find and really useful, thanks for sharing.

No worries! I installed one in my car in August and did 3400 miles to Amalfi and back with no problems. The fit is perfect just remember to factor in some new radiator mounts as the section that has a bush tends to sheer off when trying to transfer off the old rads.

Small note on the price its not always on offer. I got mine for £160 delivered but the price immediately went up to over £200 after I ordered it so if you are in the market keep an eye on it and search the product code on google "MR2002"

Photos attached and the thread I did on it at the time: https://www.sportsmaserati.com/index.php?threads/maserati-4200-water-radiator.26723/

£160.39 at the moment with free delivery on Autodoc - wish I had seen this first! Managed to get nearly new showroom stock OEM for the 3200 parts bin but was more expensive. D@mn! D@mn!

I've seen some Audi/Porsche/VW TPMS ECU's on eBay for about 20 quid that look identical to the Maserati/Ferrari/Bentley ones, I'm going to take a punt on one since mine still doesn't work and two suppliers of seccy-hand ones have let me down recently.

Did you ever order these? Were they direct replacements?

The springs were strong-as on mine, the rest was rotten, if you're going to have a problem I would say it would more likely to be with the backplate, incidentally, anyone with an auto, does the handbrake hold when you put it into drive?
This was the "good" side. And look at the state of that tie rod!

i replaced my backing plate couiple of years ago when they were still easy to get, they were so rusty.
and no i have never tried to hold the car on the handbrake, its an auto you dont need a handbrake :) its only for the MOT then you back it off so the shoes dont stick and get detached from the shoe carrier like they are in your picture!!! :)

I don,t know if any one has covered this already but after needing a pair of phonic /abs rings for rear shafts of 3200 which where £38 ea a few years ago but now £138 plus vat a company called exmol manufacturing in Peterborough (reluctorrings.com) are available for £35 ea plus vat with fast delivery and the quality of steel used is much better than original! think they also have a life time warranty Gavin is the owner and his knowledge regarding them is second to none

Had my GS headlight switch go bad due to internal corrosion. The Maserati part is expensive/hard to find but you can rebuild it with internals from :
ALFA ROMEO 166 LUSSO T SPARK HEADLIGHT HEADLAMP SWITCH 156434500 for 1/10 of the cost.

Does anyone know what paddles will fit a 4200 cambiocorsa? Mine are looking a bit sad.

I could just get some like for like replacements but thought I’d explore - does anyone know if any carbon or aluminium paddles fit?

There are aftermarket carbon paddles available. I am trying to get some of my own made up for sale but they are a while off.

No-one I know of has tried GTS paddles on a Coupe but I think there is a fair chance that they will fit.

Confirming late 4200/GS handbrake shoes (and I think early 4200/3200) compatible set as Porsche Boxter 98 year = 180 dia x 26mm deep (OEM are actually 25.5mm deep) but as fitting to new disks not a problem and I cannot see 0.5mm being a deal breaker.

Apec No. SHU726

Set of four £24 inc VAT

I like that price :D

Any advice on sourcing aftermarket versions of these bits for a 2006 4200 (manual) would be greatly appreciated. I’ve already requested a quote from Eurospares:

front suspension springs
rear suspension springs
All brake hoses
Rear exhaust clamps
n/s rear top susp arm
o/s rear top susp arm
Clutch (manual car)
cooling system clips
gearbox oil cooler pipes
cooling fans
Larini sport back boxes (cheaper alternatives?)

Cheers!

I have ordered and fitted these, I can confirm they are the right size, Apec SHU726 less than £20 delivered from eBay. Thanks for the alternative part suggestion @2b1ask1
