Bedford Batterys,

Ferodo Pads FDB 451 and 998

998 in stock at £33.50 +vat.
451 Need ordering £24.50 + vat.

Because they are Ferodo, the owner of Brembo, I would be happy to try them as I have had it indicated to me that they are the OEM pad.

Anyone looking for OEM replacement pads should try these, they are very good.

Dogleg, are we going to do a sticky "OEM equivalency" listing for 4200/3200 or whichever with a HUGE disclaimer??!!

Do feedback on how you got on with these, both easy of fitting, usage and longevity.

Cheers!

Catalogue picture i have seen is of the old pump style , saying that it was pdf diagram similar to eurospares parts pic does say latest superceeded part no tho , just given the details a few days ago to Lance from MF and he's has ordered one from my Local Alfa dealer along with the relay and will have it fitted soon i believe , i'll keep you all posted when Lance confirms that its all up and running and also i'll ask him to take pics and send them to me of the pump so i know what model it is , cant see them continuing to make two different style pumps be odd if they do

Doh! I wish I had known about the Alfa relay after recently spending best part of £40 inc postage to get one through the usual sources!!
I'm interested in those brake pads tho, just wish there was another supplier for the discs at Alfa prices.

David, hang on to your horse, Jeff at FD will have some discs in the coming weeks. I may purchase a batch of 20 and hold them for SportsMaserati.co.uk owners.

Matt, are these identical to OEM discs or the version with no holes, from where did they source them? I can remember a debate on the other board about this, further clarification welcome, pics and numbers too!

They will fit all 3200 and 4200 models. They are newly produced so not something you can get elsewhere, simply re boxed.

The only difference that I know of is that they are drilled and grooved, but they will be half the price of the OEM disc, if maybe even less.

Jeff was not happy with the first batch so the job has been put out to a new firm, hence the delay. Should be talking about a month from the sound of it.

Ill give Jeff a nudge and get him to comment...

I may be in need of a complete set when they are available.... just had the call from Mario at Autoshield that I need new front and rear discs. The last owner spent a few hundred having them redrilled and skimmed only 6 months ago. Guess that answers the refurb/buy new debate.

Alex, could not agree more. I had them done on my old car and suffered and struggled, in the end forked out for new front discs and it was the end of the matter, job done.

Formula Dynamics Brake Rotors

Greetings all,

It's true that we're building a set of Front Replacement Disks for the Maserati 4200 that will likely fit the 3200 as well. These parts will be a direct replacement and are properly drilled and slotted. They look amazing compared to the factory rotors and are currently in production. I'll hold the ETA on the release until we have them in hands and completed. Pricing has yet to be finalized. However, honestly I don't believe that they'll be 1/2 price, at least not in the UK where I believe that you're able to get them for less money than we are able to in the states. More details to come as the production is finalized. However, I will say that we aim to produce them for less money than the OEM and they will be a better product.

Of course, the other big news is that we're nearly completed on the development of another Big Brake Kit that uses a +25mm larger, 2 pc rotor design that is 6lbs lighter than the stock rotors and relocates the factory calipers to fit properly. Stainless Brake Lines and Carbon / Kevlar pads are also included. So far the performance results have been very positive and we will continue to test the kit both on the track and street. Keep in mind that reducing 12 lbs of rotating mass is a huge advantage all in it's own right, apart from the increase from the larger rotor size. This will be a good option for those that want to fit up a bigger kit to improve performance and yet spend about 1/2 as much as the Big Brake Kits with Caliper as well as retain that Maserati Logo!

Best Regards,
-- Jeff

Thanks Jeff, sorry I jumped the gun on the price, but I know they will be competitive.

Do you know what the OEM rotor in the US ship for, maybe we are just getting ripped off over here in the UK.
