All the error lights!

Second time posting is as many days, but have no come across the dreaded multi array of warning lights. Abs/TC/epb/ESC/suspension etc. the 'usual'.

However this happened while driving, 1000km from home on a Euro road trip... (Currently in Lyon, heading to Tuscany in the next few days).

Anyway, as it happened while driving I'm assuming it's not battery related. (Pretty new battery when driving).

Anyway, got the Autel Diag on it, and NFR error I think is the root cause, but all speed sensors show errors. The suspension all looks ok apart from can bus error and no signal from NFR.

Possibly a wheel speed sensor/hub?

Also, is it OK to drive without all these systems working? I mean I know I won't have abs or traction control, but assuming I don't drive like a tit I don't think I've ever had these kick in. The ESC and suspension is my only concern? Any issues driving without these systems? (Say another 1500km till I can get it back home)

Any advice welcome. (Trying to find a garage round here too of course).

I not long drove back from the Loire with the same sort of fault in my Merc. Only real issue was the transmission decided to go into limp mode a couple of times presumably the sensor that went was what it used for road speed. Turn off and on again and that cleared. Sorted the abs sensor and now all good.

Hill hold wont work either so its a matter of foot on the brake and quick switch to the loud pedal on an upwards hill at lights or in traffic. Try and let the car in front move and give you plenty of space before you move.

Ooh that's good to know!!!

Yeah faults come back easily.
Had some time at a hotel last night, and chucked the A200 on.

Fault code C1046 rear LH speed sensor I think is the root cause. (Then U1706, for skyhook etc etc)

I've now manually cleared all the codes and will see what happens on the leg from Lyon to Lucca.

Emailing various garages now to see if they can sort while I'm out here.

Sounds like you've found the culprit. The rear one takes a bit of time to replace, so getting it done while your out there might be a bit costly.
I drove for a couple of months with a faulty sensor just disconnected until I was in a position to replace it (as it was causing MC-Shift errors), I assume yours is auto? . As you say, just don't drive like a tit and its fine. Although, I don't know what the effect on Skyhook will be as I don't have it, but assume it'll just stay in a default stiffness.

Well after driving for a couple of hours this morning, I put fuel in, stared it up again and it all cleared.

Thinking it must be water ingress in the connection/sensor and once it dried out it was ok.
Just crossed into Italy with a bit of rain and it's done it again. So it's temperamental for sure!

Thankfully sport mode through all the tunnels worked :)
