I really hope the weather forecast improves, this would be the first event of the year for most of us - so pray for dry weather :)

If anyone would like a convoy, please join me at Guildford Cathedral in time to leave at 9:15.
Guildford Cathedral is in the centre of Guildford, easily accessible to cars and well signed from the A3, so its easy to get there even if your sat nav isn't working. Its a pleasant journey from there to the departure lounge over the hog's back (good views to be had) and down the A31, probably the natural habitat of the QP. It should take around 45 minutes. Then a bacon breakfast.

I might drive out to come and join you. I'm actually based in Alton but I've barely driven the car over winter, so a run would do it good.

I’ll be coming, it’s my Birthday. Not sure what I am bringing but I would like to take the Opel for its annual runout. It’s on charge. What’s the weather looking like?

Sh!t. Rain sadly. Hopefully it'll be light or might even change.

Current forecast is drizzle in the morning, brightening in the afternoon, so we just need that front to come over about 6 hours early. We shall see....

If the weather is half-way decent I might come over to celebrate (with luck) today's trip to Hampshire (you know where), with another trip to Hampshire at the weekend....

Forecast not looking great for tomorrow, with heavy rain after mid-day. My car is with Emblem so I'll be coming across from the Island to collect it and plan to drive across to the Departure Lounge. However, if the weather look awful I may get diverted into a few car showrooms along the way ... and then anything could happen!

A quick round up of the salient facts before our meet tomorrow at the departure lounge, Alton in Hampshire.
The other Italians will also be there.
Current Met office forecast for Alton is 50% chance of light rain until 11:00 and thereafter 10 or 20%. In short, much better than we have had here all week. So I'm looking forward to seeing everyone who isn't put off meeting by a small amount of rain - there's sure to be some of it. And, in our favour, the salt has long since been washed off the roads.
Out of interest, will not be washing/polishing mine beforehand. I'll just get it out and drive it there :)
This was my understanding at the last count, so there's quite a lot of interest:
1) General_piffle
2) Ebenezer
3) Scaf
4) Will-W (perhaps)
5) Conaero (the birthday boy)
6) Dem maser (special arrangements now in place)
7) Williams mix
8) Stindig
9) MarkMas (Matt and Ashley need to fix suspension first)

And there's a convoy for anyone travelling via the A3 (That'll be most of the folk using the M25:)

I'm out, I'm sorry to say.

The visit to SportsItalia was a partial success as @conaero found the loose connection in my display so I have CarPlay back, but the rock hard suspension is a failed ECU which needs replacing, so it's no fun to drive at the moment. Also, my windscreen wipers stopped working on the way home. And the alarm, and a door handle.

Sorry to read that Mark. As it happens, there's plenty on here about mending your own windscreen wipers but it is time consuming.
I've stripped and redone a door handle on mine and it wasn't too bad, though getting the waterproof membrane out was tedious.
No idea about the alarm.
Sorry you can't join us. I was particularly looking forward to a conversation about cats and streets and things. It'll have to wait.
