I don't mind the name - at least it's true to the brand.

The recent photos have got me thinking back to an EVO magazine scoop from 2017 - does anybody remember this story? I fell deeply in love!

Froddy, that is more on brand and a concept we all love. Problem is it’s a bit old fashion now.

The world moves so quickly it seems sometimes it is difficult to keep up, but I have been away for 2 years and we are still speculating on the alfieri? #timestoodstill

The dealer photo I saw had similar rear scoops to the 4C and larger round taillights than the rendering. The front was different than the rendering and overall it was very attractive. It was a quick look, but the dealer said it was up on the Maserati website. I've looked but not found it. Must be restricted site.

The mention of MC 12 - "MC20 is the natural evolution of the MC12 and will once again be an icon in the world of racing." seems to imply it.. Let's hope not.
We just keep on guessing...

Yes that was my take. However a proper halo car that people have been begging for so that's fine.

For most of us, ownership of anything new coming out of Modena is years away anyway unfortunately.

Points to those who said they will recycle an old name and extra points to @conaero for mentioning MC12

I look forward to seeing it unveiled in May. Bit above my pay grade but you never know I might get promoted and eventually with depreciation I can afford one if I want one

Sh!t name.

IMO the only way this is going to be a success is if it is an 800bhp monster. Or £100,000.

As a road car, it needs to be truly bonkers (making a soft 2 seater with no luggage will be a disaster) and backed up by race results if they want to coax people away from McLaren etc.

I really hope we get a halo car from Maserati that can truly compete with the premium market but I think I will be keeping my NA V8 for a while longer yet.

Best wishes, and good luck with it. They will never please all the people all of the time, that is when you get a generic blandness into the design. I'd like an odd nod to their past even if it was tartan seat inserts, the Merak originally had tartan seats, or velour cord! Who remembers those? The majority have now been retrimmed in leather, for good or bad. Will people retrim Gransport to remove tech cloth in the future? I doubt it, tastes will change. It will also be good to see a return to racing, if it happens, I do think it goes some way to selling what should be their halo car. Not sure I'd like to try and figure out the target market these days though, so many variables and opinions.
