Alfa Window Regulator

Gents, my passenger's side window regulator is damaged beyond repair, and I am looking for an alternative replacement. I read that the one from the Alfa 916 is identical, can anyone that has gone that route confirm that I have the correct part number from the Alfa (60667936). I can probably get that one from your guys side for about $200 rather then $800+ that I am finding here from in the States from Maserati.

Alfa 916 is similar but not identical.

First off you need the late type with the auto drop function, not all 916's had this.

Secondly, the main difference is the large crown gear is in a different position to the Maserati one...its lifts through a different range.

You can swap all the bits over to your Maserati one and possibly move the large 916 cog to the correct location or use your existing one. Its a good idea to reweld the crown gear anyway as they have a habit of falling off. Just drill a couple of holes and plug weld it.

CatmanV2 on here and a few others regularly go over to the states. If you PM him and arrange to pay for one in the UK I am sure he will bring it over on his next trip.

Otherwise you are looking at postage from Europe.

Unfortunatly the part is also on back order at Alfa, I've tried different dealers... Unavailable. I sourced mine on ebay. If you know what's down on yours, you can find the proper donnor on the bay, then be patient for the postage or hopefully CatmanV2 can reduce the timing.
@Catman : don't put it in you cabin luggage, you might not take the plane

No I'm afraid, but any alfa 916 with microswitch will do the job provided the teeth plate is rewelded at the right place (which is feasable but may take some time...). Personnaly I bought an old 916 without microswitch as I needed just the teeth plate.

You might be confused as there are some reproduction of the 916, looking cheappy. A big X with a white motor. This would have been my last option if I couldn't get originals. It could work though, but 916 owners put some critics about this system...
