i think with the new model they didn’t need to make it so ugly to make a statement. You can already get an aftermarket front end upgrade which to my eyes looks much better and turns an ugly pig into and rather good looking car.View attachment 84601
Agree, it doesn’t look just better it actually looks really good. BMW is obviously going to go down the ugly rabbit hole again. Shame as the M4 might really have appealed to me - had a V8 M3 Coupe once - but I can’t get my brain round having to butcher something I’ve just paid all that money for. Drove past a new shape 7 series yesterday and it was quite hideous.

I do love an XFR too. In fact I was just about to buy a lovely 2013 one in BRG with tan leather when the QP Sport GTS I have now came up for sale which I bought instead.

The guilia will do the ‘sport’ part of sports saloon better than the XFR, being much lighter and having better steering.

It is a shame the jag is not made anymore and I think is another car now very cheap for what you get for the money and the best ones have slowed right down in terms of depreciation. Will probably start rising soon. Great cars.

The problem with the XFR is the problem with all Jag's.

The infotainment is rubbish. Touch screens are impossible to use on UK roads as they are so bumper, and you have to take your eyes off the road to use them.
It's what annoys me most about mine!

I agree about touch screens in cars.

However the HK system in my XF was the best car system I'd ever heard

not quite a QF but my Veloce is 324bhp and 360 torque so if anyone wants a test drive to see how they are then you are welcome
Love a QF.....one day....but my Veloce ticks the boxes for me now
Dem

Has it behaved itself reliability-wise?

Sorry I’m a bit lost and google isn’t helping. QF (cloverleaf) is the fast one. So what’s different about a QV which also seems to be the fast one?

Do you have the pre facelift or the post facelift XFR? I’ve used a late model XFR for a while and its screen while not amazing was ok.

The XFR is a great car and I think one of the best sport saloons, however its really more like a 4 door GT car and its really more like a really fast luxury cruiser which is what it is. Its drivetrain is much more relaxed than a Maserati.

The Giulia QV on the other hand i never drove but I imagine it to be a sports car that happens to be a saloon.

Coincidentally a nice dark blue one just drove passed me, applying about 5 of those horses in the pouring rain!
