Aircon ECU repair QP4

The aircon control panel on the dashboard suddenly stopped working. Was working fine until one point that snaped and now is as if there is no electricity feeding. We've checked the fuse box but doesn't seem to be a problem there. The electrician suggested it is the Aircon ECU tablet behind the dash. Doesn't help the fact that we are peak summer season....
Does anyone know whether these can be repaired and who may be able to do it?

Someone else posted the exact same problem recently - not sure what model they have or if they fixed it

There is a guy called Gareth Kerry on the Facebook Biturbo pages who can repair the HVAC panels.

Have a look, his contact details are in his posts.

Hi,

Yes,contact Gareth. I sent him my AC unit and it came back tried and tested. Mine went suddenly dead with no lights or function. The power supply went bad or overloaded and had to be changed along with an IC chip. The reason is for the most part the water valve in footwell which has an electric motor for opening/closing. The valve becomes harder to operate with age and draws more current. The motor also needs cleaning and lubrication of gears for smooth operation. The motor is NLA long ago but the water valve is a £10 VW/Audi part. Needs a little cut and moderation to fit but that's what Maserati did back then. Maserati part nr.315522144. Same unit is used on Ferrari 348 and 355.

Not wise to repair the AC unit without doing the water valve and motor. Chances are it will all fail again later on. I'll attach pictures of the Maserati and VW heater valve. Spot the difference :)

Thankfully in my case the issue proved to have an easy fix. A relay change brought it back to life.

I've read that people swap relays to assess whether the one in question is faulty but are they all interchangeable?

Had one in recently with the same issue. It was a failed cabin fan. No fan, no AC

This seems to be a new failure that has popped up of recent.

Had two 4200’s in with the same fault.

AC panel lights up but pressing the snowflake, no light comes on and no ventilation
