I was tempted by an E60 M5 or E63 M6 but just wasn't brave (or stupid) enough. Also wanted something that was luxury/comfort biased with sporting edge rather than other way around.

Agreed on E39 M5 as I've been looking for a while and not found anything stand out condition, mileage and price.

I've not seen too many of the car I've bought. Possibly rarer than a QP even. Possibly as the depreciation from new is eye watering much like a QP.

Drove back from collecting silly early this morning and it was a joy. To have a car like this average the right side of 30mpg was a very impressive and an unexpected surprise.

It has much more of a bark than I expected with a few pops and crackles thrown into the bargain. Such a well judged all round proposition.

It feels like a car 500kg lighter even though it is still quite heavy. There isn't many cars I have driven of this ilk that manage to achieve this so successfully.

Surprising......drives as though it is much smaller and lighter than it is.

I was in with Hoyin in his Noble at Llandow and the XJR there was pulling away from us on the straight and although obviously we were quicker in corners the XJR was tons quicker round the bends than it had a right to be

I so wanted to get back into a QP again but until I can go 4.7 GTS the XJL SuperSport made so more sense atm.

There's older people in our village who still remember Jags and spivs!

Love these my friend. jaguar lent me one when mine was being serviced. Bloody wonderful. Not everyone likes the looks but I loved it. Loads of presence on the road, comfy and pretty quick. Reminded me of a British QP..... Great choice. I would love one as my next daily.
