I have a 2009 Cayenne GTS that I bought back in August and only put a few hundred miles on it (I think it has done something like 67,000) due to not using it as much as I thought I would have if you're interested! It's a lovely car with full leather/alcantara and an amazing sound... IMG_2857.jpg

Looks very nice but I can't see me ever having a white or similar car I'm afraid. I tend to boringly slip under the radar.

Thing I don't like about the QP GTS is lack of DS and and lack of chrome trim. Big cars suit chrome bits. Could always add that back, but still, it's an auto and will ever remain so.

Could be tempted when I calm down tho, maybe when I'm 60.....

That’s a good point. The one downside of the GTS is the auto box. In the ideal world, it’d be a QP GTS 4.7 in the body of an early QP GTS 4.2, with an even earlier QP DS gearbox. But they didn’t make that. So the next best option is just the standard 4.7 QP GTS. Put up with the auto, whilst enjoying all the other benefits. And no, the ride is not too hard. In fact, you could make a case for it being stiffened up yet further.

All of which makes me think, how much would it be to make the ultimate QP?

Buy a nice 2006 QP DS - £15k.
Buy a 4.7 engine - £5k
Buy GTS suspension, brakes and exhaust - £5k
Retrim the interior with some alcantara and carbon bits - £5k
Sell the discarded bits (engine, brakes, etc) taken out of the original 2006 car - £-5k
Total - £25k for the ultimate QP V.

(P.S. The above costs are complete guesses and could be way off)

I'd go 4.7 GTS all day long.
I really dont like the QP in silver though.....i just dont think the car suits it for some reason which is odd as most cars look really good in silver.
cheers Wattie

Would it not be better to keep the original parts to put back on when you sell as You'll never get that money back. You can sell the suspension etc then.......Or 25k buy Roberts car even though it's an Auto which wouldn't bother me. I see there are a few QP Sport GT on AT under 15k these days. One at 12k....What a lot of car for the money.

Found one......incoming

Should be collecting Monday. Sorry to say it isn't a QP

I tried so hard to get a QP in but this just made a little bit more sense and seemed a better option for the moment.

Maybe a QP 4.7 GTS in a couple of years will work.

E60 M5 or an M6 V10 would be where I would put my money for £15k or an RS4 B7 Avant.

E39 M5 too long in the tooth now and not enough low milers out there for decent money.
