Thread resurrection...

I’ve been pedalling like crazy in Zwift the last couple of months due to my shoulder injury, and decided to do a close to full effort ramp test tonight to see if I was getting any fitter.

My FTP result pre Dec was 206.
In mid December it was 225.
In early Feb it was 237.
Tonight it was 257.

Quite pleased with that! Are any others still cycling?

Bloody ****! That's good. Due to work being crazy I've only been able to get on sporadically.
My FTP is up to 215.

I'm just looking forward to the clocks changing so I can get out on my bike in the real world after work (weather permitting).

Bit of a thread resurrection.

Now that the weather is colder and, well, crappier, it's back on the trainer in the garage. Albeit a garage which is filled with boxes whilst we are in our rental.

On Monday I bought a second hand bike purely for Zwifting.
Last night I set it up to be a similar as I could to my existing IRL bike, which is not as easy as it should be.

But am now all ready to go tonight.

Ah well I still cycle outside on my trusty steed come rain hail or shine.
I try and get out every day but only for 30 mins tops at a leisurely rate.
I do it not really for the exercise value but because I am outside in the fields and can talk to people on my route. In short I enjoy it. The health benefits no matter how small are a bonus

You want to try and find a decent used road bike over here. I have been looking and it will probably be easier and cheaper to buy one in the UK and ship it over.

I’ve just re-read this whole thread for inspiration. I haven’t been on my bike this year......wont parade the excuses.
So, I need to sort myself out a trainer etc, as I now have half a garage I can set it up in...
