I do fancy an S1, love the looks of them, would love a 135 but they are pretty rare, 160 is a beaut but it has to be green, black wont do.

Even just a standard one will blow you away - and quite a lot of the competition on track too.
I'd suggest by the time you can afford to buy and insure one Adam there will probably only be "looked after" cars about. And you'd need to have one that has been maintained properly otherwise you could easily spend the value of the car on it just getting up together.

They are pretty much infinitely customisable too, meaning that no two are the same. It's also easy to get carried away with mods.... Mine went in for a service and tyres on Monday, it's still there having the rest the "well whilst you've got it, you may as well do..." done.

If you are able to pop down to Llandow, I'll take you out on track in it.

Well as I said, it went in for tyres and a service. During the inspection they found the two offside lower wish bones were bent, no idea how long they've been like that but would explain the less than perfect handling, so they're being replaced. They also found one of the koni shocks to be leaking so rather than just replace that I've swapped the whole lot for Nitron's with Eibach springs. It's also had uprated toe links fitted to cope with the upgrade to A048's and then it's been fully geo'd after all that. Then, seeing as it's there I've asked them to swap the standard steering wheel for a flat bottomed alcantara Momo one with a 40mm spacer to get it a bit closer so that I can push the seat back a couple of clicks so that my knee no longer fouls the steering column cover when I heel and toe. Also the cooling fan had some how come loose so they're taking the front clam off to remount that properly. And whilst it's there for an MOT they may as well pop a sports cat on it to quieten it down a bit so I can get on more tracks and pass the MOT easier.

I think that's it....

Looking forward to getting it on track in a couple of weeks now! It better not rain!! ;)

I have noticed a few S1 Exige owners like their Honda power. S1 Elise sounds nice with a Larini or Janspeed exhaust, bet they are a treat on track with some semi slicks.
