Poorly repaired damage by the looks of it.
Yeah ... a higher mileage car with quite a few owners and not many service stamps, starting to look very used. The coolant level looks to be on the low side. You'd certainly want to have a PPI and do some due diligence on it!

You get what you pay for, a scruffy car, or a pristine one from the likes of Mr Grace, when they appear on the market. For the price it looks reasonable, but would potentially need a lot looking at. Cosmetically other than the bad paint, repair? at the driver's door sill area, you would want those boomerangs aligned, and the kerbed alloys seeing to. Interior looks reasonable other than the usual lifting dash, and wheel. Engine bay looks a little unloved, so maybe original throttle body, hoses will be getting old and brittle as it gets very hot in there. But it's not a £20k car. One oddity is the couple of databases on these cars have number 15/75 as being a rosso car, could be wrong and just carried through over the years though. Someone will take it on, the pool of available ACs is small.

And at the opposite end of the market...

Far nicer

Yes, that is a very nice car; quite exceptional. I saw it and met the owner at Beaulieu (Simply Italian) earlier this year.

I do like to use my classic cars. I've just been out in my 3200 to the Garden Centre and Farm Shop. Yesterday I went to B&Q and Sainsbury's; any excuse to take the back roads for a drive. I get the feeling these cars are better behaved when they get regular use(?)

If I had a car like that I'd be afraid to use it. It'd be incarcerated in the garage on a charger and would probably just come out for car shows and occasions. Nothing wrong with that if that's what you're into ... It's a lovely investment quality car for someone's collection.
