Also I had a wheel bearing hub replaced 3 years ago by MD so if its the same wheel, surely the part should be in warranty?
Three years? I really doubt it but...

Yes, I have this one and it's really nice.Right thanks fellas, so i noticed on amazon three different autel readers, is below what i want?
Cheaper here. See screenshot. They are all grey imports. It doesn't matter where you buy it, so amazon, ebay, website, etc. Just buy the cheapest one from a marketplace you normally use.Right thanks fellas, so i noticed on amazon three different autel readers, is below what i want?
Just ignition on to scan and engine running if you're going after live data.Ordered folks. Hopefully easy to get started. Ive never hooked diag up before, does car need to be running or just ignition on?

Air con. If its low on gas it wont work. Low pressure switch would trigger and cut the air con off.Folks,
Out in the car yesterday and after a few hours pottering about I nipped out for petrol later on and got a park off on the drive, filled with fuel and when I went to start the car got the ABS/ASR/MSR warning yo then it settled on the ABS not available.
Ignition off back on and cleared. Just been out in the car again and all fine.
I had this back in 2020 and it was an ABS sensor so I’m going to throw it into the garage for a diagnostic check.
Question for you all what’s the situation these days with wheel bearing availability? They readily available again as they went out of stock last year wasn’t it?
My air con is also non existent as well, no cold air. My understanding is that as long as you have gas present no matter how old that it should really work to some degree? Wondering if the compressor has gone belly up.
Cheers

If you have somebody stood at the front of the car while it is running and switch the aircon on and off slowly you can listen for the click of the clutch engaging on the compressor.
Abs sensors self check on start up. Once the car is moving above 15 to 20 mph if it detects a fault the abs and associated lights will come on. Has your battery run low ? A few short journeys in quick sucession and a aged battery can also trigger it.
Check the voltage on your battery first at rest and under load or charge your battery and see if it comes back. If it doesnt dont worry till it does. If it does have your battery checked.
It's a no brainer, really, I think these things are like 60quid in the UK and they work great, I use mine all the time.
Just get yourself an Autel AP200 and scan it yourself.
It will probably be cheaper than going to a garage and pay a guy to scan it, plus once you got the tool you can scan it anytime you want and reset fault codes yourself.

Yes of course, as I said that is how I solved my ABS issue. The Autel scanner told me it was a problem with the brake pressure sensor, then after a bit of investigation it turned out to be one of the tiny wires inside the ABS coomputer that was desoldered from the electronic circuit. And that was indeed one of the wires coming from the pressure brake sensor. Can I get data from the ABS etc on the Autel?
You select the manufacturer in the app, you get one brand for free with no time limit, so that's pretty neat.Take it this is correct and you don’t have to select a manufacturer? Same unit for all cars?

If you're interested you can have a read at my rebuild thread, here is the part where I was trying to fix this thing:https://www.sportsmaserati.com/inde...with-a-2009-quattroporte-s.39676/post-1080637

You can then purchase other brands if you want and use this dongle for all the cars. So far I've tried it on Maserati (quattroporte and 4200CC) and Peugeot.
