I appreciate what you’re saying about the £130 for a basic scanner- but these cars, especially the GTs , seem to hate low voltage, hate standing up over winter, and given this, replacing a ten y.o. battery that has been kept on a trickle charger for all it’s life with only sparse use over that period indicated, makes perfectly good sense. Complaining about it makes less sense, frankly.
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve had this on mine. Every time I’m working in the rear wheel arch, basically…up,it pops… Clear it, drive it, it goes away….Time and again.
I paid £30 for a Bluetooth dongle and DashCommmand. It’s basic. It is invaluable…
