Hi all,
I recently developed an Abs /ASR warning ....I’ve checked all wheel 4 sensors their ok... I’ve a feeling I’m at ecu failure stage... any advice will be appreciated regards replacement/refurbish.As a side note the part number I have is 1928402824 Bosch ... this appears to be a generic part used on other makes ? Could this be my saviour! Cheers

No it won't be. Bosch only made them for Maserati 3200's, no one can fix them and other models don't work.

Best ring round the parts specialists. There’s a sticky thread somewhere with all the contact numbers etc... good luck

Have you checked the Phonic wheels on the rear drive shafts are not rusty.

Try give Mike Roberts of Maserati Shed a call. I had an abs ecu issue on my 3200 and If I remember correctly he sent it back to the boffins at Bosch. Either way he knows his stuff and should be able to give some good steer

I’ve bought 2 through the forum a year or so ago had them fitted and have had no issues until this weekend ...so I pretty much sure it’s bad news ecu wise

Hi all,
I’m now in the right frame of mind to think this through...all sensors checked, Phonic rings replaced last year checked....abs/ecu is all that’s left to cause issues ? If so is there any way I can test to confirm?....or as has been said there’s nothing but find a replacement

I'll throw this in as a comment from left field. I had the NO ASR light every time I reset the ecu by powering down, disconnecting the battery. The dud message was caused by an immobiliser error, specifically a **** Chinese after market immobiliser fitted by the previous owner,of which I was unaware until I went looking under the dash. So I suggest you don't go replacing the ABS/ASR unit until you've thoroughly checked the electronics.

i would also doulbe check rust around the phonic rings there are 4 and they are the most likely cause of this problem. Also check the wiring to the wheel sensors and make sure the connectors are all ok, and the wiring has not taken a knock from anything. The connectors are supposed to be sealed but i have a horrible feeling two of them are over the diff and get both dirty and hot. If its really the ASR/ABS unit then yes try David Askew or any of the breakers.

Thanks again for the input guys... I’m taking her back to my friends garage, on the lift and double double double check as I’ve just seen the price of an ECU thanks again
