That looks a good spec, nice colour and all the toys but as above the QF would be my choice anywhere near this price point

I'd managed to negotiate a brand new one down to not much more than that. However it still made more sense to buy the Cali financially.

Even at that price its going to depreciate like crazy

But in the long run, these Trofeo's could end up being a collector.
What do you guys think?
For me the Trofeo is a masterpiece, inside/outside.
And the last one in its kind probably?

You might be right and I'm sure it is a beast of a car but like others have said it will come down quite a lot before it starts to go up again.
Shame Maserati didn't have the wit or wisdom to launch the Ghibli with this model then a lot of reps would have gone for the diesel look a like.

This is possible, but you've many years down before it goes back up again.

The typical wait for appreciation on a Maserati is about 25 years. Its yet to happen for the 3200 or 4200, and I would think it'll take even longer for the modern Ghibli. I suspect I'll be dead well before this particualr car is worth anything near its current asking price again.

I agree, it's the last V8 Maserati. As others said, wouldn't hold my breath for it though.

I think it's also on a different league to the Gulia QV. Much much rarer, V8 and overall larger and more luxurious. A bit like M3 vs M5 comparison.

I've yet to drive a Trofeo Ghibli. This will sound terrible to some but I wasn't overly blown away by the Giulia Quad. When absolutely monstering it, it was undoubtedly excellent.
But it lacked a certain amount of theatre when you weren't, it just felt like a car, rather than an Alfa. That has as many positives as it does negatives and I can see why they did it. But it lacked a little fizz about it.
From the reviews I've seen of the Ghibli Trofeo, it has a bit more of an old-school feel to it, which sounds somewhat appealing.

But then I'd probably buy a QPV GT S at half the price of both.

Exactly, it looks refreshingly different
Yeah but Nayf has been sniffing printing ink too long. Granted it is not black or white but that has very limited kerb appeal other than the engine. ;)

Maybe an orange stripe and big Gulf badge on the bonnet would fix it.

Well to be fair it’s as close as I can get to this…
