The first newsletter will be along shortly – sorry it's taken so long for an update, the finalisation of the magazine is coming first.
Expect there to be one coming next week – I need to get back to translating old German press releases using Google Translate...

There's no digital – it's a purely print product; it's a respite from screens. If there's enough demand for it we'll reconsider, but the nature of the features and images lends itself to a print setup.

Welcome a break from the screens. Though i have about a year's worth of Evo unopened, that probably says it all....

@Nayf looks a great product.

One thing I have noted with Octane is that increasingly the magazine is arriving with knocks, creases and dents and the paper enclosure it comes in (which is a great thing from a sustainability point of view) does not seem to offer much protection.

At £10.00 a copy and as a premium product, are you hopeful it will arrive in pristine condition?

I will be subscribing in spite of you being responsible for the 4200 outside which I still blame you for ;)

@Nayf - it's alive!

Beautifully presented, securely packaged (I hope that didn't cost too much but the experience makes it feel so much more special a product than Octane). Looking forward to reading that this evening.

Well done.

Fingers crossed for the future* but whatever happens you should feel very proud that you have produced something of such quality and that you have gone out there and done it.

* remember Chris Harris had a monumental failure with Driver's Republic and it still worked out for him ok ;)

my copy arrived very well protected.
I was immediately struck by the high quality paper and stunning photography.
I love the strap line 'Life's too short to drive boring cars', a variation of which I have used for years when referring to wine and coffee.
I look forward to reading it but so far so very good. Well done @Nayf

Why thank you for the kind comments – and to your earlier point, please let me know about any issues with the, er, issues when they're delivered.

*If only I had Chris Harris's wheel skills. Then again he has a more optimal centre of gravity than I do...

There were none at all on the delivery side. It came in the same sort of packaging as books do when coming from Amazon. Very well packaged, I was thinking I haven't bought anything like that when it was handed to me by the postman (good luck delivering that through the letterbox) and then when I opened it, it's more like a book than a magazine.

I have heard some very good comments from others as to the design and print of the final product. This is another area where the likes of other well known car magazines have let themselves down in recent years as production quality values have diminished or costs have been cut. I cannot imagine how hard it is to get the balance right between the cost to produce, achieve a sufficient margin and yet deliver a product that the customer will really value. What you have produced is, on this front alone, a completely different offering to the rest of the market.

My copy arrived today. As above very well packaged. Just time for a flick through so far but its an impressively presented magazine it has a quality feel. Looking forward to some quiet time for a proper read.

Me too. With the same team as Modern Classics it should be good. Now it has a mention on PistonHeads I’m sure lots of subs will follow.

As you’re getting more than one copy it was too heavy for the normal delivery service so it should be with you over the next day or so.
Each is a touch over 1kg

If I subscribe today. I assume I’ll get issue 1?

Over the past few months I discovered The Road Rat and now Strada. Makes lockdown a lot more bearable. Good luck with the new magazine!
