Looks nice just ashame the sills have been undersealed spoils the look for me easily rectified though.

I've always liked these, my auntie Peggy had a couple, in fact she always had European cars right through the '70s, she married into a bit of money and had loads of Citroens, Renaults, Pugs, BMWs and at one point an NSU Ro80 (she was fearless!), when everyone else had Escorts, Cortinas and Dolomites. For a short while she had a beautiful Pininfarina Pug 504 Coupe in metallic burgundy, to my boyhood eyes it looked like a French Ferrari. Her husband had at least two BMW 2800s that I remember but for some reason his last company car was a 3.0 Granada, sadly he met his end in this car when a cement lorry ran through a red light and drove straight into him in 1975.

Meant to say the other day, on the way home from work one day last week I passed a metallic green DS, it took me by surprise and still looked like a spaceship, even now.

Our spaceship - in bleu lagune - is slowly coming back together. Put the new front bits on ready for the repaired wings and consternation….. is the replacement gearbox in the right place? Tried the starting handle and noticed that although it starts mid-line it is guided by a hidden bracket in the front cross-member to meet the offset box! I will not put a further hole in the front number plate as I do not intend to crank this one.220775F8-8C89-4C2A-A395-8612D51B57F2.jpeg
