Maybe but removal of any stiffness in a baked bean can Renault can't be good

I too love these and certainly would.
ER Classics have some very nice cars too.

So the little Renault 4 didn't make it where as the other little French 106 Rallye did

The 106 Rallye was a Good driving car my twin brother had one as was the 205 Rallye.

106 Rallye was a great car, paired back weight, nothing frivolous like alloy wheels and a popping little 1.3 power plant a bit like the original Fulvia

Don't think I will be able to watch it as ours is part of the family.
It would be like watching someone abuse our Cat.
Just hope they weren't to unkind to it.

Not unkind at all, unless the mishap was intentional. Poor little thing. Repairable, but not at the top of a mountain in Nepal. I hope they brought it back. I’m sure as h3ll they couldn’t just abandon it.

Was all the underbody protection the 107 had from the factory??? Noticed when it was on its side... or was it a fix for it to make ir?

I remember the 205 rallye had protection. It could have done with a bit more ground clearance. Anyway why didn't they tow the R4? I'm sure that it could have started eventually

Late to the conversation and I am sure this has already been mentioned, but 2cv is the most fun I have ever had. Feels like it’s going to fall over on anything but a straight line. You bounce around with tears of laughter falling down your face. Priceless.
