New Mot today, but on the way home the car started revving high whist stopped at a junction. This happened twice at junctions.... Air leak or sensor or???

Ide is stable from cold and can be pretty even when hot then out of the blue will high rev

I would check for an air leak, check the throttle plates and linkage for play and examine the throttle pot has smooth values throughout it's movement range, especially around idle.
