The finish on the one above is truly shocking! Imagine if Porsche or Ferrari or Lamborghini delivered cars in that state it would be on the front page of every motoring mag! How do McLaren get away with it?

I don’t think it would. You just don’t see critical reviews in the motoring press anymore.

I'm not certain they really do get away with it. Many owners are unhappy.

Equally, many are delighted, presumably because their cars were put together properly..

There's no way I could drive a car that had LEEDgS as a registration plate.

If it was in red but I've seen a few Nobles and we're complaining about build quality of Maccas?
I can't comment on customer Nobles as I've only ever seen the show cars (naked red carbon weave was memorable; sounds horribly vulgar but worked) but they seem to have been put together well, as you'd imagine.
But from everything I've read about the Noble, it sounds more like my thing. It was designed to drive and feel like a Ferrari F40 right from the off - of course, driving and feeling like a Ferrari F40 could be argued is the less important part of owning a Ferrari F40 for a good proportion of F40 owners (given the tiny mileages they cover)... nevertheless the Noble seems more special to me, rather than just another variant of the McLaren theme, even with a Volvo-derived engine.
