50 Years - AMG Mercedes at Spa

This weekend, exactly 50 years ago, a little known tuning company called AMG, triumphed at the Spa Francorchamps 24-Hours race on 24/25 July 1971. The AMG-entered Mercedes-Benz 300SEL 6.8 won its class outright and finished 2nd overall behind a factory entered Ford Capri, catapulting AMG as a Mercedes-Benz tuning company and changing it's fortunes forever.
