Hey! was out driving and I came to a crossing and slowed down but the clutch did not want to go in and I got a motor stop, has checked the oil f1 pump relay The f1 pump does not run when I open the door or switch on the ignition or when the car is left without a battery pin 85 receives no signal from tcu. I have got the lamp in the instruments to shine constantly ”Indicates a failure in the“ Cambiocorsa ”gearbox” all fuses are complete, is there anything more I can check?

is not the more common symptoms of clutch tang failure so I would agree it is more likely to be F1 gearbox hydraulics related. It is most likely to be the pump. Unusual not to be able to get back to neutral so obviously nothing powering the call.

Good luck with the diagnosis but sounds like it needs plugging into the proper diagnostics as a first port of call....

Have you had it transported anywhere yet? Any fluids underneath?

okay! No oil under the car and the oil to cluch is full, had to unscrew the spark plugs to get it on the trailer and drove it home, have 3hour one-way to even the authorshiped maserati workshop! think it is strange that tcu does not send singal to the f1 relay. Is there any way to get it in neutrality mechanically?

If it's in first gear, and you have taken the plugs out to winch it onto the trailer, don't push it backwards for you will force the engine to turn backwards... Not good!!

Hum would suggest the clutch is stuck, needs looking at.

Battery reset worth a go? Could be the actuator pots have got out of sequence.

Where are you, I have the EasyMas on me, would point to where the fault is.

We are also driving South Coast to Newbury then on to Leicestershire on Thursday, could swing by with the Diagnosi.

tried with battery reset no results try forcing the f1 pump in about 10sec and step on the brake and tried to put it in the neutral but nothing happens. It is possible to remove the Gearshift Actuator and manually put it in the neutral

On a 4200 yes, but GT/QP it’s gbox out.

I’ll check with Ashley to see if there’s a cheat.

If you need coffee near J18 M1, drop by and I will top you up with caffeine at least.

Ashley says it may only be possible with Diagnosi other than that you need two wheel dolly’s to load it into a trailer. You are welcome to borrow ours but any recovery truck will have them.

He also believes that there is a factory tool that can do it that I believe we have, he’s going to confirm this.

Odd one ,

If the TCU sees a known problem with all sensors working + pressure it should drop instantly into N.

The fact it was in 1st and the pump runs but no attempt to change gear could mean the system cannot do what the TCU is requesting because one of these :- faulty pump gears , no pressure , faulty clutch valve , faulty clutch position sensor. Engine stop = Could not open clutch when requested.

Diagnostic needed , good luck.

Glad to hear all looks ok.

The faults shown are inconclusive to be able to find the root cause , it's possible to exclude the battery as you were driving when the fault occured . Could be poor electrical connection to gearbox hydraulic valve block - common earth or clutch postion sensor connection / fault.

Regards
Steve
