4200 Strange rattle at idle, after being left to warm up

I wondered if anyone knows about this, its bugging me. My 4200 facelift starts up fine and makes all the right noises. If you then stick in neutral and leave idling for 5-10 minutes, suddenly there is a nasty metallic rattle that starts up and stays. Sounds like exhaust / heatshield /propshaft / gearbox locations, external to engine and maybe further back under the car? If you rev the car a bit and leave to idle again, it stops rattling for a while. But left to idle for some time it comes back. When the rattle starts, its definite and sudden, not gradual, like something has come loose.
Any ideas lads?

It could be the heat shield underneath , or the double skinned manifolds .I would nt worry about it . They all make rattling noises of some description .

This is normal...well, its not an issue.

If you leave the car in idle from cold for over 5 mins, the clutch fully disengages and the rattle appears. Dont worry about it. Flick it into first then back into neutral again and it will go...and then come back 5 mins later.

Hmmm... So it's nothing and clutch related normalcy, or it's lay shaft bearing on propshaft... Better get it checked.. Cheers, men

Yep, mine did/ does it, I assumed one of the new exhaust brackets had come loose, 2 hours later, after finding all tight I searched on here, yep, in gear gone...
