HI,
Not been on here in a long time and sadly its to look at parting with my wondeful car. I will add photos at the weekend as the weather is not too good at the moment
I have owned this car since 2008 and used it sparingly hence the low mileage. There can't be too many manuals out there and even less with this sort of mileage.
It is finished in Grigio Nuvolari with a bordeaux interior. It has Sat Nav. I have all the books and manuals including code card and EEC certificate.
It has supersprint back boxes and the X pipe and sounds great without being obtrusive but have the original pipes too.
I'm offering two options on sale :
1. It will need a new clutch clutch soon - its not worn so drives ok no slip so I could have this done and a full service and would ask £14,950
2. Take it as it is for £12,950
Any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

Hey Azeus, no, your right, you have been missing in action for a while. Good luck with the sale, what next?

The key questions everyone will ask is has the end-float been measured recently (and if so, what is the reading), and what is the service history. Making a quick list of the dates and mileages of the recent services will be very useful. Also, for viewing, where is the car?

Lovely colour combination, and being a 2003, it must be one of the very last registered 3200's.

Its a 4200 Ewan...so no end float !
I do wonder why a clutch though at only 44K miles...
And given the age...whats the heater matrix situation....?
Yet more proof that prices are down since last year for me. And not a dog that knocks the money out of them on the face of it ...!
Manual, and great colour combination, sounds like a steal..!

My manual had a new clutch fitted at almost exactly the same miles.

Unless the car has been driven hard by something who rides/drags the clutch the plates themselves should last over 70k miles. Seals on the thrust bearing fails sooner likewise the spigot bearing

My car just had it done at 68k miles and granted it was thin and started to slip but still some meat left. Flywheel was pretty tired too.

Hi all, yep its a thrust bearing on it's way out. It's been serviced every year by a Maserati trained mechanic - I don't skim on maintenance and I have too many cars so there's no replacement due...I spend 50% of my time in Italy so my online presence ahas been woeful.
I have no damp in the car and the heater works fine so I assume the matrix is OK. It's weird but thinking of selling it I feel like I'm betraying it ... didn't feel this bad when I got divorced !

Mine manual had a new clutch at 20k when the previous owner had it. I believe there was a recall on the hydraulics on earlier manuals to reduce the damping on clutch engagement.
I'm not saying that the previous owner didn't abuse the clutch but I've done a further 90k with no problems with it. Not bad considering it's made of cheese.

Last year at Kimbolton car show another chap pulled up in his Spyder with manual transmission, a lovely 2002 car which had only covered 20k mileage and he said to me there was a receipt with the car where the clutch had been changed at 14k which stacks up with what you say doodlebug.
