Well...some one needs to get measuring tape out!....the spare wheel well is certainly bigger plus full depth as we know

Finito!

New humpted boot floor cover arrived today at my main Maserati dealer, fits perfectly.
Total project cost £300, split in round figures, £100 for unused Merc SL spacesaver, £100 for hub adapter/new scissor jack/wheel brace and sockets/pump, £100 for brand new boot floor.
If I just went to dealer and ordered everything the cost would be £1,200 with VAT!

Okay, onto the new project!

A little yes, but not a massive amount, certainly worth the trade off in my opinion!

Couldn't agree more - looks absolutely superb Mike.

The spare wheel solution I came up with for the QP (Mitsubishi space-saver) also doesn't quite go under the boot floor. I'm thinking of making a simple frame to lift the floor panel just enough to clear it.

The QP iv I have has a space saver wheel and the PCD is the same as the Spyder, I think - Might see if it fit both on the hubs and in the boot.

While I wait to find the correct merc 17" spare, what do you guys think of using a 15" as a limp to garage alternative? There are plenty of those available.
Ok it's a smaller diameter but only like limping a few miles on a run flat or slow puncture ?

Depends on how far the rolling diameter varies. I can imagine the MSP / ESP / ABS getting highly upset.

Don't forget it's got to clear the brake discs and caliper, would think 15" would be too small.

Hi for the mondeo spare for a 3200 does the wheel not need the centre bore drilling out as the mondeo is 63.4 vs 67.1mm?
