Yes that was this one... the winner asked to cancel as they had a manual and didn't realise it is for f1

It might help your sale if you mention the 2nd user programme offered by Formula Dynamics. Whereby they reprogramme the module to the new owner's VIN. They also test the module and provide support. For a fee but its very reasonable. I think FD recommend the seller send the unit to them directly as part of the deal. There's more info. on their website.

Is it better than having the challenge stradale software put on ?

My GS had it fitted but after having just lost the 4200, my insurers were not overly happy with the enhancement so I took it out.

I believe it is the throttle response and gearbox speeds, not too fussed as I never used it.

Are these things worth the grand or so? Or better to just oomph it more before paddling up for similar effect?

Full throttle/high RPM gear shifts are no different with the module.
It simply makes the gearbox think you are changing gear at full throttle/high RPM but you are in fact not.
