4200 engine light

The dreaded light with the engine picture on it...
Only just noticed this, so may or may not be new. But it stays on when you put key in, after all the other lights have come on and gone off again.
Only goes off when you fire up, after about 2 seconds of firing.
Normal?

All modern cars are the same aren’t they? The engine warning light only goes out after starting and all is ok.

Normal. I'd be more worried you hadn't noticed previously.

Perfectly normal. All lights go out when a car is functioning perfectly. However the 'auto' light should be off too and `sport' on.

As above mine does that, nothing to worry about.
