Thanks for all the encouragement. However, unfortunately, its just been sold!

The big bill did include the subframe being taken down, re-powder coated and replaced.

I should have shut up and just bought it!!
Had the Variators been done?

That age of 4.2 can require the variator upgrade. So if looking for/at another, it is worth checking.

But given the age and mileage of that particular car (and the money spent on it) I'd be surprised if it had not been done.

Looked a good one and think it was.....Shame you missed out...Good ones seem to be far and few between. Nicest one was Ewans blue one. If that ever came up I would probably sell my family to get hold of it.

Problem you have now of course is any 4.2 GT S you see (there won’t be many!) in the future, you will compare to this one.
I know it had 80k miles on, hardly high for a 12 year old car, but for 14950 with the spec, money spent and, I assume, some form of warranty may be tricky to match.

Gutted and kicking myself!

I'm not wedded to a 4.2 by any means, but it would have worked budget wise.
Nor am I normally that keen on black on black, but somehow it really worked with the Alcantara & Carbon.

And of course you are all right in that there is hardly a large supply of these. There is the Cat D one which is a private sale and too much money for that risk (Webuyanycar says £9,500 for that one!!).

There is another on Autotrader for £20k.

Does anyone know this car??

I owner, sensible mileage, rare and appealing colour, a 4.7 so torquier motor. Still needs inspecting to ensure no rusty subframe and have the variators been done? Needs a GTS Grill though!

Agree standard grill on the 4.7s is just horrid. Add a GTS one job done.

Verde Brooklands is a strange colour.....Looks dull as ditch water without sun light on it but when those sun rays hits that beautiful bodywork it comes alive.

Been for sale a while is an understatement. Must be well over a year.
Well over but it was massively overpriced. I think they have dropped it from 18k recently. Not sure if anyone has looked at it.
