360 story and engine rebuild

I bet this has been a long, at times worrisome and also a fairly expensive 10 months.

This is essentially the thing that we all dread.

Well done on coming out the other side, hopefully with a few pennies still in the piggy bank.

I hope you are able to enjoy the car as much as you did previously.

Thanks Rossyl... yes, what with rather a large list of works needed on the Granturismo after purchase and then the unforeseen 360 engine rebuild and subsequent ‘bring back to as new’ its been a fairly taxing year :banghead2:

Thanks, they should both be good to go for quite some time now. I’ve certainly done what I could to see to that.

Magnifico! Great news, Bebs.

I watched the Seen Through Glass Sam chappy's video on this. It's hard to tell with those YooToobers whether their gob-open shock and awe and wonder is cobblers or not, but in this case clearly not. I'm delighted, and look forward to your post-twisties assessment.

Remind me, did you muck about with the exhaust as well?

It’s running decat pipes into a titanium race exhaust. Proper howl. Makes my GTS MC with X pipe sound quiet.

<<swoon>>

That must be an absolute joy to barrel around in. A delicious assault on every sense (almost). Well done!

This is one aspect of SM that I really like. You chaps are so good at "closing the loop". On other sites, folks post the start of something, but you rarely see the end product. @Bebs , I know the work couldn't be cheap, but you have shown that a Ferrari can be enjoyed for many miles, and then rebuilt for many more miles and smiles. Outstanding!

Thank you for the kind comment Oishi. The final closing of the loop will be when she’s back home in the newly renovated garage. Will post up some pics this weekend.
