3200GT No Power

Just went for a drive and got a few miles and it lost power over about 2k, and the throttle doesn't respond as normal below this.

Slightly off at idle but not a missfire

Takes a good few turns to start

No error lights

Throttle opens fully

Maybe turbos? But why would they both fail and would that cause off boost problems? Going to see if I can see the actuators, any other ideas?

Actuators don't seem jammed.

All the pipes to them seem ok

I've had the boost control solenoid off and it opens and closes when a current is applied

I've pulled the inlet hose off and there doesn't seem to be any boost when revved.

I'm really not experienced with turbos would you get boost when revved and stationary and hence not under load?

Has the inlet pipe to the throttle body front come off, jubilee clips can sometimes fail and it slips off the front.

Check the voltages at the throttle pedalpot? 350-600mv in idle and then 3.2v in WOT.

Its in limp mode, no lights on the dash?

Battery reset first....disconnect battery (don't close the boot and drop the drivers window) leave for an hour, reconnect and see what happens.

Thanks both.

No lights on dash.

I’ve reset the throttle and disconnected the battery.

The throttle opens fully when the pedal is pressed

All pipes are connected.

I’ve run it without the intercooler to throttle body pipe and it doesn’t seem to build boost but I can’t work out why.

Check the voltages with a DMM at the pedal yellow and white output wires, it sounds like the throttle pedal is maybe not giving the correct voltages. Have you also checked the pipes to the MAP sensors? One is on the inside wing and the other is on the bulkhead. Also check the pipes at the back of the plenum as they sometimes come off too resulting in no boost.

Bulkhead Map checked, pipes at the back checked, will check voltages at pedal and the other map

Get Unidiag on it mate there must a code stored. Disconnect the Pierburg valve and clean it and the wiring too.

I'm getting the computer out, the check engine light isn't coming on at start up.

It was working in November, that's why I changed the throttle pedal pot

If you aren't getting any error codes up, double check all your hoses, including around the jubilee clips. just a tiny tear could cause the turbo to be completely ineffective causing severe lack of power.
