Hi all,

I've noticed some bubbling and slight condensation inside a headlight on my 3200gt.

Before I replace it, does anyone know if the headlight unit can be dismantled and put right?

Any advice or thoughts appreciated.

I think they are sealed, but! I am sure there was a thread on here about someone rebuilding them.

I have the same problem with mine & yes, it is unsightly. I too will need to do a search for a fix as they're not the cheapest 3200 item to replace!

Thanks to Dicky, Safrane and Alandwf for your help I'll try and refurb them first in that case.

LincsOSCA, I will post any info on the fix as soon as I find it.

Cheers

Stuart,

Finally found the thread: http://www.sportsmaserati.co.uk/showthread.php/7925-3200-Headlight-Strip-Down

Looks pretty straight forward, the usual care, patience and a craft kit required!
Now to find some time to do it.
Good luck with yours too.

Thanks again to those already mentioned for your advice and direction, much appreciated.

Ru

Excellent, thanks Ru.
The questions are am I brave enough, do I have the patience and the steadiness of hand required?!
Good luck with yours also & I look forward to hearing how you get on
Cheers

I'm thinking the same but am motivated by the thought of saving an otherwise scrap product, not to mention a few quid in the process.

Just need to create a dust free NASA-like environment to re-seal them! :)

Happy crafting,
