Thanks everyone who is helping me through this.

So today I checked the fuses under the panel on the passengers side. All OK. I connected back all the actuators to the loom. I watched them all individually as I turned on the ignition. All Turning backwards and forwards the same.

Rex I can check the top of the shocks at rear with my endoscope system, but they are both OK at the front.

I'm also going to have a look at the acceleration sensor to see if the cable is attached to the sensor I guess that would cause the error light to come on also?

Hi l have just checked the diagram and there are 3 sensors in the system 1/ vertical acceleration sensor ( beneath near side headlamp)2/transversal acceleration sensor(mounted on top of radiator fan housing) and 3/ the brake pressure switch that is beneath on the inner wing beneath the abs unit.
You have said that each motor rotates but have you checked the plastic gear is not cracked as this can then jam when on the shockadsorber.

Hi Rex

Yes the plastic gears look in good condition. What makes me suspect its a sensor is that the error light is on even though the actuators are not attached to the shocks but connected to wiring so all turning nicely. But I may be misunderstanding the diagnosis system when it tests the acutators.

I've taken off the vertical sensor and it looks OK. I used to get an intermittent ERROR light coming on when I was driving on rough roads.

Someone said this error light should not stop me getting an MOT so I'll check that on Monday.

Cheers

Stuart

I would like to express my sincere gratitude to this forum, especially to SteveM for the amount of knowledge and helpfulness with regards to our diva!
After a short period of running well, my beauty kept me busy by blowing fuse 16. After continuously upgrading the Amps of my fuses, I had to drive without taillights in the night. So I had to leave the car in the garage until I cut off the cable to the accelerometer. I was expecting a short circuit in the wiring which I wanted to renew this winter.
Just by coincidence I read Seve‘s post which probably saved me a lot of time and money and will bring back my Skyhook :D
Thank you very much!!!
Greetings from Vienna!

A similar query from me. I have been informed that I need a new shock actuator.

Any suggestions where I can purchase this from and which actual component I should buy?

Does it need to be the same as the one already in the car to make the error message go away?

Update on my error message, It didnt stop me getting an MOT ... so thats one good thing. I'd arranged to take a trip over to Edinburgh to let David Phillips run his diagnostics on it, but the Covid travel rules changed and I couldn't make the journey. So waiting for that to change hopefully soon (doubt it) and I'll be doing a mini tour of Scotland to make up for the period of inactivity.

Cheers Stuart

Does the shock actuator need calibration from Maserati or is it almost plug and go?

Plug and go. Any error messages should clear themselves

When I say plug and go, it’ll be plug, drop the spring clip down the wheel arch, go find a magnet, go find someone with smaller hands, then go
