i will have a look tonight, I also think my hoses are red, perhaps a different temperature rating?

I think mine had a blue one on the one side and a red one on the other and the rest were black.

Had a look at mine today , it has the original maserati hose and I can manage to get a 4mm drill bit between the hose and the turbo. If yours is tighter than this then perhaps it needs to be shortened. If you have the same gap then perhaps its not suitable or needs some additional heat protection.
