Mike, I note that, on mine, you have relocated the knock sensors to the top of the inlet manifold. Ugly, but effective, presumably.
I would suggest a little caution moving the knock sensors unless you really just want to disable them. The precise noise they are designed to pick up will only be valid in the designed location. They prevent pinking and if you don't prevent this you can cause damage to the engine.

Yeah, I'm no expert and have left it to the expert. It won't start now, since replacing the starter motor, anyway, so maybe I'll relocate them and see how it goes. Thanks.

While I still would urge extreme caution moving the knock sensors (i.e. don't do it!!) I am pretty sure if they are not working the car will run. If the knock sensors are faulty you will get a knock sensor error and the ECU will retard the ignition and mixture to a "safe level" and possibly put the car into limp home mode (can't remember?) but it will start and run. Similarly if you move them, it will run, but what will happen if you move them is that the noise its picking up will not be right, so it will either detect pinking all the time and your ignition timing and mixture will be toned down and the car will be slower, or it will not detect pinking at all and the car will be fast but destroy the combustion chambers over a period of time requiring a new engine I suspect (hence going to the bother of designing the car with an elaborate system to prevent this).
