Does anyone know where the connection is for the rev counter? Is it the gearbox?? My rev counter is not working. The speedo works fine.

Is it not fitted to a transducer on the gearbox which sends a signal to the ECU?

If I'm reading the wiring diagram correctly, then the tachometer is being triggered by a light Blue and Green wire from the injection ECU to the instrument cluster.

Thanks guys I’ll send this to my guy who is doing all the work to it. The car has a newly fitted gearbox so it may be a loose wire around here.

I doubt the rev counter is fed from anything other than the ecu.

If it’s not working I seriously doubt it’ll be at the oily end. If that was the case the engine wouldn’t run.

I’m guessing it’s somewhere between ecu and the needle.

But surely the ecu picks a signal up from somewhere?
I’m not sure in this one sorry.

My diagram shows the rev counter connects to the ecu connection no 4 with a grey and green cable , it also has a positive and negative but if these were a problem lots of other things would not work as well so I doubt this is the problem.
