Hi all, hope everyone is well?, To begin with my 3200 has recently started leaving me presents in the morning's, ie a couple of drops of coolant under the nearside foglight. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess it's the 3 rubber hoses that have given up? Anyway's to cut a long story short I've dropped the rad off with a bloke in a shed....somewhere down south ......that reckons he can fabricate a dog's bollox replica one out of aluminium, in one piece (still twin core) that eliminates the hoses (weak link deleted) for not much more than a 2nd hane one. It's still a couple of weeks away but I will update here how I get on with it.

Probably the best way to go. OEM parts are faround too much esp with their poor design and or quality.

Looks really promising, one thing to watch with aluminium radiators is over cooling as they can be too efficient so be prepared to blank sections off in the cooler months.

There can’t be overcooling if the Thermostate is working properly.

Well, picked the rad up today, good signs are it fits the hole, I did note that it's sitting around 10mm short off the front of the offside bracket, it appears the oil cooler is not sitting square and holding it off, I do remember giving a high kerb in France a hefty clout mind! but it's far too warm today to be working in there  I will plumb it all back in tomorrow and see how it performs.

I used a company over in Redditch when my heater matrix went. They manufacture the units themselves and there are no weak spots ie plastic like on the OEM part. Great company to deal with.

Have you got a name/contact info for them? and would they make an aircon condensor also?

Another update lol, it fits the hole fine, but the fan pack is too tight to fit the top hose so needed modifying had to slot the fan pack top holes as well as they wouldn't line up with the rad by a couple of mm, still happy with it though . These issues have been relayed back to the manufacturer 58760

Another update re radiator, fired the car up today and let her idle up to temperature, previously the first fan would cut in then the 2nd fan would cut in when the temp reached 90c and bring the temp down, with the Ally rad the first fan is cutting in and managing to bring the temp down by itself before cutting back out, a much improved cooling efficiency, I still need to take her out for a good thrashing yet but signs are good! 58761
