Here is what the WSM says about sender and instrument. Seems like low pressure warning can be calibrated/adjusted. Wonder how ? The resistance is also different between the sender unit and instrument gauge. And like Allan said warning light is rpm related.

As previously mentioned it is driven via the ecu, I think, not a low oil pressure switch.

I think you're right. The interesting part is that it can be calibrated. Would be great to know how as a the warning light is way to early and quick to lighten up.

probably a setting with the SD2 tester, which does allow a certain amount of adjustments.

The sender needs to be around 30mm in diameter for it to fit. It's in a very tight spot and the original sender is ca.28-30mm.

You can use FAE 14030 if you change the connector to something like this.

OEM one is on the upper left, and FAE 14030 with the changed connector is on the lower left.
