Hi all!

I have been trying to find a power curve for 3200GT(A) without success. Usually stock power/torque curves can be found quite easily but not in this case i suppose...

Does anyone of you guys know where to find one?

Don't think they put any out, just in case they embarrassed Ferrari at the time!

My 2,8 l biturbo with 24 valves had a different type of power curve. Much more power at low rpms. I always wanted to remap my 3200GT to get the same low end torque. I believe Maserati made the 3200 a bit more like a naturally aspirated engine with more high end power to make the power more progressive as the older engines tended to loose its torque before red line. But more raw power at 2000 rpm for example. And that is the revs you normally use in everyday driving.

Stock or delete of pierburg valve mod either way the 3200gt brings on the turbo spool hard around 2-2.5k full boost can be had by 3k with mod done, without pierburg mod it comes in full around 5k so it has max traction for the average Joe

What kind of mod is mentioned here? my 3200GTA's ex owner had drilled a hole to bleed pierburg valve line from intake manifold to turbos. Turbo kick was more noticeable but max boost was no more than 12psi. with normal driving car felt quicker but with WOT it was not. I changed to new pierburg valve and car reaches 16-17psi boost at WOT but feels slower than before on regular driving...

The first time I drove a 3200 in Sports mode the torque curve wasn’t so much a curve as a cliff. Wasn’t what I was expecting, nor the rear tyres on damp Surrey tarmac.
Just made me love it more, obviously.

Sorry for joining an old thread.

I have dynoed my 3200 and here is my result.

The values are not so important because they differ between dynos.

What I have noticed is that my torque curve looks like that of the CAR magazine but not like that of @Contigo.
Mine has two peaks. One at around 3500, the other at around 4500.
The CAR magazine's also has two peaks. One at around 3000, the other at around 4500.
@Contigo's only has one peak at 4500.

Mine is a very early model, made in December 1998.
Is this suggest that the later models have been tamed and have less power at lower rev?

I think to get real benefit from increasing boost you need more fuel so it probably needs some remapping for that to work? I am not sure perhaps some one more konwledgable will come along and correct me.
