3200 Alarm

Having finally fixed all CEL related issues I was woken up very early this morning by the dulcet tones of a wailing car alarm that turned out to be my 3200. After locating the key and trying to reset the alarm I had to remove the car cover, open the boot and disconnect the battery to stop it. The battery is fully charged, all windows are closed and I have reset the alarm from the key fob but every time I reconnect the battery the alarm goes off, does anyone have any suggestions on what it may be or how I can disable the alarm? To be honest I never bother to lock it most times so a semi permanent disabling of the alarm would not be a big issue.

Reconnect the battery and then disarm with the fob. They always go off on battery re-connect.

Oh dear. That sounds a bit broken then. Is the LED (I think there's one?) flashing to indicate the alarm is armed even when you disarm it?

Update....I have managed to disconnect the siren located in the nearside rear wing cavity and whilst it's not in any way a fix it does make the car useable. Given that the immobiliser still works I'm not that fussed about a working siren but I will look into it at a later date.
